QRB Discovery
As of February 2020, QRB Discovery is no longer a section of Quarterly Reviews of Biophysics but a sister journal.
QRB Discovery publishes new developments in the field of experimental and computational biophysics. Articles report on significant physical observations of relevance to biological systems, both experimental and theoretical, that may point towards an exciting direction, rather than the presentation of a traditional comprehensive study. Experimental biophysics spans a multitude of physics-based measurements such as optical microscopy, super-resolution imaging, electron microscopy, X-ray and neutron diffraction, spectroscopy, calorimetry, thermodynamics and their integrated uses, with computational biophysics, simulations, bioinformatics and system analysis. Biological phenomena that cannot be described and analysed from a molecular angle, using biophysical techniques, are not in scope.
