Extract

The composition of ruminant feeds may significantly influence the availability of phosphorus by the animal and the subsequent excretion of P to the environment. This study which was undertaken to examine the utilisation of P as part of a larger study designed to establish opportunities for reducing P excretion in lactating dairy cows, offered different forage based diets.
