Extract

The U.S. Department of Energy is one of the principal government sponsors of materials R&D, both at universities and at the DOE National Laboratories. The National Laboratories are a major employer of graduates with materials education. I will discuss some of the Laboratories' specific needs as well as some of the special opportunities offered at the laboratories for materials education.
