During the course of studies on human filariasis and its vectorsin Fiji, in the period 1954–1956, (Symes, 1957) it was desirableto make a few observations on the dog filaria in order that, whenfound in mosquitoes, its larval stages should not be confused withthose of Wuchereria bancrofti from man.
