Iv. summary

The results of a winter nutrition experiment on dairy cows were used as a uniformity trial in order to indicate the magnitude of the standard error we may expect if a continuous treatment experiment is designed with a preliminary control period.

An initial period of three weeks is suggested, and some discussion given on the design and analysis of this type of experiment.
