Austrian Treaty: Negotiations on an Austrian treaty were temporarily suspended by the Council of Foreign Ministers Deputies on December 14, 1949. The Deputies had considered questions concerning the treaty at a series of 34 meetings held in New York from September to December 1949; three informal meetings of the Foreign Ministers were also held.
