A Progress Report on optical and Radio Astrometry of Hipparcos Inertial Link Objects

Abstract

The status of our longterm joint optical- and radio observing program for the establishment of a new inertial optical- and radio reference frame is described. A special attempt is made to provide a suitable number of extragalactic sources and radiostars for an inertial HIPPARCOS reference link.
