One of the aims of the Strasbourg Stellar Data Centre is to collect and distribute the different stellar data available, so that they can be used for statistical work. As an example of the statistics which can be made, we present in the table some results for the galactic pole areas. The photometric data were obtained from a general file (Magnenat 1976) which lists the stars observed photoelectrically and the system in which observations were made. The results show clearly how fragmentary our knowledge still is; completeness exists at most up to m = 9.
