Informes de trauma infantil, intento de suicido y conductas de automutilación entre mujeres en la población general

Este estudio trataba de determinar la prevalencia del trauma infantil entre las mujeres en la población general evaluado en una muestra representativa de una ciudad en el centro de Turquía. Se administró la Escala de Experiencias Disociativas (DES) a 628 mujeres en 500 hogares. Se les preguntó también por el abuso o la negligencia en la infancia, o ambas cosas. Se administró la DES a 251 probandos. La edad media de los probandos era 34,8 ± 11,5 años (intervalo: 18-65). Dieciséis mujeres (2,5%) comunicaron abuso sexual; 56 (8,9%), abuso físico y 56 (8,9%), abuso emocional en la infancia. El trauma infantil comunicado con más frecuencia era la negligencia (n=213, 33,9%). La prevalencia de intentos de suicidio era 4,5% (n= 28). Catorce probandos (2,2%) comunicaron conductas de automutilación.
