1 It seems that Mr. Priebsch in 1894 was allowed to use a ‘chemical reagent’ which has obliterated even what was once seen there. Dr. Breul wanted to do it again, but the Librarian very properly forbade it. I trust that our treasures may be preserved with all care in the future.
