1. In the early years of the Austrian republic, at the behest of the then socialist under-secretary of education Glöckel the title of full professor was conferred on Freud. This still did not imply a salaried position.
2. Secession: the movement and association founded in Vienna in 1897. Otto Wagner was one of its leaders.
