A REVISION OF THE GYMNUSINI AND DEINOPSINI OF THE WORLD (COLEOPTERA: STAPHYLINIDAE). SUPPLEMENTUM 21

Abstract

The following new species of Deinopsini are described and illustrated: Deinopsis apicicornis (southern USA), Adinopsis cuspidata (Florida, Maryland) and Adinopsis pubescens (Brazil, Colombia, Panama, Mexico). The previously unknown female of Gymnusa campbelli Klim., G. konopackii Klim., and Adinopsis braziliensis Klim., and the male of Metadeinopsis longicornis (Sharp), are described. New distribution and habitat date for some other species of the tribes are added.

Résumé

L'ouvrage décrit et illustre les nouvelles espèces suivantes de Deinopsini, soit Deinopsis apicicornis (sud des États-Unis), Adinopsis cuspidata (Floride, Maryland) et Adinopsis pubescens (Brésil, Colombie, Panama, Mexique). Il décrit également les femelles précédemment inconnues de Gymnusa campbelli Klim., G. konopackii Klim., et Adinopsis braziliensis Klim., et le mâle de Metadeinopsis longicornis (Sharp). Il apporte de nouvelles données sur la distribution et l'habitat de certaines autres espèces des tribus concernées.
