Extract

In a very interesting collection of mosquitoes lately sent me from the Philippine Islands by Dr. Eugene R. Whitmore, 1st Lt. Asst. Surg. U.S.A., occur a couple of forms which seem entitled to position as new genere, and some others of merely specific interest. The new genera are separated, in the first instance by a combination of values that makes it seem secure, while in the second case it lies between Finlaya and Macleaya, and the differences are not so marked.
